Rollback path
What makes a technology rollout reversible?
A rollout is meaningfully reversible when the team can restore data and access, resume the prior workflow, remove new connections, and communicate the change within a tested time window.
What the concept requires
- Record the last safe state and the decision deadline.
- Test exports, backups, credential removal, and the manual fallback.
- Name who declares rollback and who communicates it.
What the concept does not prove
- Not every change can be completely undone.
- Backups do not prove restoration speed, completeness, or business usability.
